Venticinque 1 is a large one bedroom apartment very well designed, very well furnished and fully equipped with all the modern comfort. It lies on a first floor (only 16 easy steps from the street). It consists of a large day area with an open-plan kitchen, dining and relax area with a sofa and an armchair. The night area offers a double bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a bathroom with shower and a closet-room which can be organized with a single bed for an eventual third guest .

The apartment comes with internet wifi, dish-washer, washing machine, air co and a safe and last but not least mosquitos screens at every windows.

The building is located in the west side end of Lucca historic centre. Quiet area, far enough from crowds and stores to avoid daily life noises and at the same time only few steps from everything. Groceries, cafès, bars, restaurants and all the historic sites, say everything is only few steps away from the front-door. Also: the access to the promenade of the city's walls is just at the end of the street. The building itself deserves a mention. Dating back to 1630 - as the inscription MDCXXX visible on the external facade attests - it used to be a convent of nuns. Then abandoned for a long long period it was bought and totally restored by the current owner about 15 years ago. The result is this beautiful, elegant and comfortable place to stay and even to live! The main entrance of the building is large, clean and well kept ( Parking bikes inside the main entrance is forbidden right to preserve this unique, original enchanted setting)

We loved this flat - it is beautifully presented, and in a perfect location for reaching everything. Our top tip: hire your bikes from Cicli Bizarri (Piazza S. Maria) if you want them for several days. Deborah, the owner, is friendly and helpful (and Australian), and their prices beat all the others hands down. Take the bikes to the river - you can go for miles. Another tip: we had a very nice meal at Da Giulio at the top of the road. Not on the list of recommendations in the book with the flat, but very nice service and my tomato pasta (fresh tomatoes and home made tagliatelle) was delicious. My husband loves offal and was thrilled with veal's head... Also loved Tosca - Debora's recommendation - where I had a very good tagliata steak with rocket and parmigiano.
Our favourite bars: Undici a Undici by St Martin's, and Turandot on Piazza San Michele.

This is such a gem, i was thinking of keeping it to myself. The owner is as dedicated and helpful as they come, the apartment was huge, airy, spotless, equipped with all your needs for self catering. I felt at home and was sad to leave
